David Bray’s illustrations are born out of his incredibly active imagination and his love for drawing. As a child, Bray would sketch images of space travel, depicting himself and his friends visiting other planets and universes. This talent developed with age, his explora- tion becoming darker with the creation of an egotistical fantasy world which you can see still influences his work to this day. Graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Graphic Design in 1992, Bray has maintained a successful commercial career with an extensive portfolio of clients including MTV, Absolut, Harvey Nichols and BBC Television. Listing the sculptor Allen Jones, erotic photographer Araki and paintings by Gustav Klimt in his range of inspirations, he uses basic drawing tools - pen and paper, to create his deli- cate, fine images. To look at his work, is to step inside a fantasy world.
