• Samuel Golc is a London-based artist who works with both painting and photography. His ambiguous images show a phantasmagorical reality suspended somewhere between the corporeal and the transcendental. Influenced by quantum mechanics, Kabbalah and other esoteric sciences, he enquires into the role that human perception plays in the universe. Golc’s treatment of photography evokes that of painting and is highly experimental in nature. The use of self-made optical devices allows him to beguile the camera into shooting abstract images.
