Sculptor Kenny Hunter has had recent solo exhibitions at the New Arts Centre, Salisbury (2009), Tramway, Glasgow (2008) ,Yorkshire Sculpture Park (2006) and Conner Contemporary Art, Washington DC (2009).
In February 2010 Kenny Hunter won the first Spitalfields Sculpture Prize. His work ‘I Goat’ is sited in Bishops Square, Spitalfields.
Hunter has also created a number of high profile, commissioned works including 'Cherub/Skull' (1997) for the Tron Theatre, Glasgow, 'Man walks among us' (2000) for Glasgow Museums, 'Youth with split apple' (2005) for Kings College, Aberdeen, 'Citizen Firefighter' (2001) outside Glasgow's Central Station; and ‘Natural Selection’ for Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
Kenny Hunter’s work has been acquired by the Scottish Arts Council Collection, the British School at Athens, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow.
