• Omar Zingaro Bhatia’s work was born in the borderland between Absurdistan and the Vulgarian Ranges. Working in a variety of mediums, both digital and physical, Omar seeks to defy definition while maintaining a recognisable signature style. Drawing on the Cult of Personality, the artist seeks to mythologize himself by creating a personal Propanganda Machine which is perpetuated by his artwork. Though appearing deceptive, all mythologies are rooted firmly in reality and can be corroborated. At times drawing on the philosophies of Gonzo, Omar becomes the central figure of his work, an agent in the shadowy world of Kultur Production. Embodying both the spirit of the neo-entrepreneur and the anarchist, Bhatia stands in defiance of both the established commercial fine art market and the high-theories of the contemporary art world. Neither part of the establishment or the anti-establishment, the artist has created an exclusively autonomous culture which is shared with his followers.
