#SHOTBYADAMS: Photographs by Bryan Adams : ME Hotel, Ground Floor, The Strand, London WC2R 1HA

Everybody knows Bryan Adams for his glittering musical career but what most people might not be aware of is his photography.

Hosted in partnership with ATLAS Gallery at ME Hotel London, #SHOTBYADAMS coincides with the publication of his latest book of the same name which unearths portraits from his archive never seen before. The iconic historical and cultural figures who become the subject of Bryan's lens reflect the myth of celebrity; and how it applies to the object and audience of celebrity. Experimenting with coloured plexiglass in some of his works, we look at these figures through a tinted screen as much as they look out at us. 

Finally, we see a bit of Bryan through the relaxed candour of his subjects. Through his ability to make his contemporaries feel seen rather than watched, they strike playful poses and radiate trust and belonging.
