RESEMBLANCE: Group Show at Labombe

4 September 2025 - 4 March 2026
Overview

Much like an artwork, a good plate of food is a multi-sensory experience that moves its consumer. It has the power to transport you to places and people known or unknown. You become what you eat. This group show at Labombe in partnership with Incubator Gallery brings together the work of young British artists that embody the transformation of culinary transportation. Incubator has been electrifying the emerging art scene by platforming the work of keen practitioners. Whether it’s vague familiarity hiding within the foliage of Nina Ogden’s paintings, portraits of old lovers by Emilia Momen, the fantastical scrapbook creatures inhabiting Emily Wilcock’s works, the transcendental dissolution of Nathalie Hollis’ abstraction, memories remerging through Elena Angelini’s paintings that feel like lost memorials, or Frank Kent’s sculptural poppies, all these works dance around reality into the same intangible realm inhabited by tastes, textures, and scent.
