JUNCTIONS: Group show at MYO King's Cross: Olivia Crane, Michael Sole, and Claudia Pons Bonham

For our vast group show at MYO King's Cross, the pieces across the 3rd floor show a curious fascination with wintery landscapes that blend in with the walls as if the weather itself is spreading out of the art. Michael Sole (another piece in the downstairs reception lounge) has the uncanny ability of projecting such strong personality on something as plain as a snow-capped mountain. In the vistas painted by Claudia Pons Bonham, the horizon and the sky become one as detail fade under the cover of frost. A similar monochrome palate seeps through Olivia Crane’s sculptural works, except she accentuates aspects of the landscape rather than dissolving them.
