Charles Uzzell Edwards, a.k.a. PURE EVIL, currently lives and works in London, UK after spending ten years in California, USA. He portrays popular figures in the media in new ways.
His background in graffiti and street art resonates in many of his works of art. On the topic of his name, he has said, “it's a license to have fun with dark imagery. It reflects the darkness that's in the world right now. You can't just ignore it and do a nice picture of a unicorn. Unless it's a unicorn with a rocket launcher on its head."
The artist has his own gallery, the Pure Evil Gallery, in Shoreditch, London. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in Paris, London, Beijing, Brighton, all across the United States of America, and as far as Mongolia.
