Chris is inspired by the emotional impact of landscape - natural and man-made, He aims to capture rhw feeling of being immersed within it. Working intuitively across acrylic, watercolour, collage, and printmaking, eacj piece evolves through process and response, rather than a predetermined outcome. He's drawn to the tension between ocntrol and spontaneity, embracing drips, fragments, blurred boundaries and accidental gestures - all essential to the work. Layering functions materially and metaphorically within his practice - refelcting concealed emotions, shifting histories, the accumulation of lived experience. His work aims to evoke an atmopshere rather than depicting specific locations, inviting viewers into a space that feels simultaneously familiar and unresolved.
