Felicity Tyson

Felicity's love for naturally-occurring colours and forms in landscapes, fabrics, and bodies is at the heart of her work. Painting is a connection through line, colour and form, to observations and experiences that enliven.

Two rhythms guide Felicity's paintings; a slowing down that involves careful observation, and amore dynamic pace, drawing on intuition, taking risks, but trusting the process.

She starts with paint wash and pastel-drawn lines attuned to a feeling or mood. While painting she feels her way to colours that vibrate towards, against, or in harmony with one another that bring emotional, visceral experiences to life.
