James Sibley

James Sibley (b.1999, Crawley, UK) lives and works in London. As a sculptor who writes and shoots film, his works emerge in the studio but are formed outside, through encountering and gathering. Drawn to objects and images that can become covert or transparent, he repositions materials and images until they register in productive or surprising ways.

Recent solo presentations include Long Time Coming (Pusher, London, 2026), and his work has appeared in the recent group shows Unstable Condition (South Parade, London, 2026), Paradoxical Effects (Lodos, Mexico City, 2026), 123movies.com (243Luz, Margate, 2026).
