Katie Louise Surridge studied at the Slade School of Art and completed her masters of art at Goldsmiths in 2022. Other notable awards include being a Royal British Sculpture Society, bursary winner and being awarded the DARE art prize for her project ‘Modern Mining’ where she examined what happens to our electrical waste.
In 2018 she finished three years training as a blacksmith in Hereford at the National school of blacksmithing and later exhibited as part of the New Contemporaries. She now has her own forge and metal workshop in Essex , England, which she works from whilst also teaching metal casting part time in the foundry at Chelsea college of art.
